REVIEW: Monster HotShot Caliber Speaker

Hey Guys!

So I received this little cutie from PinchMe a couple months ago and they asked me to use it for awhile and finally requested my review. I wanted to wait to do a review on here until they sent me the formal request to review it through and Monster’s website.

I have a Flip speaker (it’s really the fiancees but what’s his is mine, right:) ) and I love that thing! It has traumatic base and super loud volume. But I was excited to have my own speaker and give this little guy a shot. ..A HotShot that is! 😉

Anyways, I have been using it every single day during my workouts. It was super easy to connect to my phone and the little thing sure is durable. The second day it feel from the counter onto the tile and didn’t phase it one bit.

This baby has a nice, crisp sound, no issues there! It gets pretty loud but our Flip speaker is definitely much louder. The HotShot does good for small spaces but maybe not large rooms or outdoors so much. This also does not have a volume button on it, just however loud your device will go.

The only thing I really do not like is I can get about 4 hours of play time. By the 4th hour this speaker will usually beep for me to start charging it again. Maybe that’s not a negative to most people but I hate things not staying charged for the week. Plus, with the caliber clip that comes with this my first thought is someone who wears this while they work outside won’t have it for the full workday without it going dead!

Overall I like this speaker, I still use it, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a lower cost, durable, portable speaker.
